{A Recap of Our January}
January is always such a big and busy time for our family with all three kiddos birthdays to celebrate at the end of the month. The festivities actually last all month long because we also get to celebrate cousins, Remi and Hayes’s, birthday at the beginning of January. This month can also be a little bit of a slower season in the studio so it’s nice to be fully present during this time. We’ve been enjoying as much outdoor time as we can when the temperatures aren’t crazy low. We love to go sledding! Eden is our one child with the least amount of fear and will jump right in compared to the other two who take their time before they realize how fun it is. Joe and I decided to bust out our old Nintendo Wii from college to let the kids enjoy and, let’s just say, they are LOVING the video game life!
Since all three kiddos birthdays are 6 days a part, we put together one special day to celebrate them! We typically only invite grandparents to the birthday party to keep it relaxed and more intimate. I am SO thankful for this special one-on-one time with just them. My mom always makes the best cakes and this year is no different! She really out does herself when it comes to decorating them! The kids just love them! This year, Joe insisted we get the kids a small 4-wheeler for them to enjoy during the summer and needless to say, they all can’t wait until warmer weather to try it out more! With all three kiddos turning one year older (5 and 8), we are now officially in the big kid stage. It’s bittersweet because these ages are SO FUN but there are so many times when I miss those chubby cheeks and baby snuggles. It’s the price to pay to be able to fully experience parenthood and all of its many blessings.
Until next month…
