{Revisiting My Favorite Baby Portraits of the Year}

Finishing the week by sharing more of my best work from 2025! So far, I shared Best of 2025 Weddings, Best of 2025 Engagements, and Best of 2025 Seniors, but today we’re celebrating the babies! Babies have a way of slowing everything down in the very best way. As I look back through my images, this chapter feels especially tender. This year welcomed so many brand-new little faces into my studio, along with sweet siblings of babies whose first milestones I photographed years ago. Being invited back into a family’s life again and again is something I never take lightly. It’s such a gift to watch families grow and to remain a small, meaningful part of their story.

This year was filled with milestones that felt just as joyful as they were creative. From beautifully styled cake smash sessions to setups that made us all laugh (yes, even a “steak smash” made its debut), every session was a reflection of each family’s personality and love. These moments are playful and fun, but they’re also deeply meaningful, celebrations of growth and the first year of becoming who they are.

What continues to draw me to baby photography is the balance between the big picture and the tiniest details. The way fingers curl, the soft rolls that disappear too quickly, the expressions that change from one month to the next. Those small details are just as important as the milestones themselves. Together, they tell the full story of a year that passes far too fast.

Looking through these images now, I’m reminded how quickly everything changes and how powerful it is to preserve these fleeting seasons. To every family who trusted me with their baby’s first year…whether for the very first time or for another chapter with a growing crew..thank you! Watching these little ones grow, and continuing to document their stories, is one of the greatest joys of my work! Here are a few of the baby moments that made 2025 so incredibly special.
