{Revisiting My Favorite Senior Portraits of the Year}
On today’s episode of “Best of 2025,” I’m sharing one of my favorite chapters of the year…seniors! And what a year it was! From golden flower fields to wide-open grass pastures (yes, I still love them just as much!), this season was filled with some truly unforgettable moments.
This year marked my largest senior spokesmodel team ever, with 10 incredible girls on TEAM 26, alongside so many other amazing #CBSseniors! Watching these girls grow, support one another, and fully step into their role on the TEAM has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Every senior brought her own light, personality, and story, and it’s those differences that made this year so special.
We kicked off the season with our TEAM 26 “mini session”…though calling it a mini feels almost wrong! What started as a session quickly turned into a fully styled shoot with an Americana theme, and it set the tone for the entire year. Laughter, connection, and instant friendships filled the air. It was the perfect way to bring the team together and begin such a meaningful season.
One of the absolute highlights of the year came when The Outside Scoop rolled one of their iconic pink ice cream trucks all the way to Algona from Ankeny for the sweetest styled shoot I’ve ever dreamed up! It was everything I had envisioned and more…playful, colorful, and full of summer energy. I’m still dreaming about that salted caramel ice cream, and honestly…I might be forever chasing the magic of that day! We wrapped up the senior year strong with our Christmas prom shoot, bringing a festive, elevated close to an unforgettable season!
None of these moments would have been possible without the incredible vendors who poured their hearts into these shoots alongside me. I am endlessly grateful for Cultivate Family Boutique, Bare Beauty Studios, The Outside Scoop, Nicole from Glow Algona, and Teresa’s Bridal & Prom. Your talent, generosity, and collaboration helped create experiences these girls will remember forever!
As I look back through these images, I’m reminded why senior photography holds such a special place in my heart. It’s about celebrating confidence, growth, individuality, and the season right before everything changes. To every senior who trusted me this year…thank you!! This was truly one for the books!
Here’s to the seniors of 2025…what an honor it was to tell your stories!!
