{A White and Neutral Newborn Session}

There are some families who begin to feel a little like old friends. The kind where you don’t just show up to document another milestone…you get to witness another chapter in their story that you’ve been following for years. That’s exactly how I feel with this sweet family. I’ve had the incredible privilege of photographing each of their girls as they’ve grown, and now it’s Scottie’s turn. The newest little sister! The final piece of their all-girl crew! And all I have to say is… she fits in perfectly!

From the moment she arrived at the studio, Scottie was as content as could be. She truly was an angel baby, happily snoozing, going with the flow, and taking all of the excitement (and just a little bit of chaos) that comes with having two big sisters completely in stride. I have a feeling she’s already figuring out that life in this family is going to be full of adventure.

One of my favorite surprises from the session was Scottie’s smiles! Not just one tiny little grin, but several big newborn smiles that completely melted all of our hearts. Those little expressions only last a moment, but somehow she managed to give us some that lasted several seconds!

There’s something so special about seeing siblings meet in this new season of life. You can already tell Scottie is surrounded by so much love, and I have no doubt her big sisters will spend the years ahead looking out for her, making her laugh, and probably convincing her to join in on plenty of adventures.

As I looked through these images afterward, I couldn’t help but think about how much has changed since I first met this family. The tiny babies I once photographed are becoming big sisters. The milestones keep adding up. And somehow, each new season feels just as meaningful as the last.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to watch families grow. Not just from one session to the next, but over the course of years. It’s a reminder that photographs become so much more valuable with time. They’re not simply documenting what your family looked like in one season. They’re preserving the story of how your family grew.

Scottie, you are already so deeply loved! Your family has been waiting for you, and it’s safe to say you’ve completed this beautiful little girl gang in the sweetest way possible. I can’t wait to watch your story unfold!
