{A Recap of Our July}

It’s only fitting to share our July adventures as we are finishing up August! I’m in the thick of hustle season so getting these updates out tends to fall to the wayside. BUT we had such a FUN July that I simply couldn’t let it slip away. Our month started out with a week long camping excursion at our favorite place, Cutty’s. We did alllll the things, boating, biking, beaching, mini golf and popsicles with sparklers on a rainy 4th of July. After our trip, we surprised grandma with her very own birthday cake! She is always making cakes for everyone in our family but never gets one for herself, so this year we made sure she had her own! And even better yet, we got to share with some cousins!

Attending Livermore Daze always creates such fun memories for the kiddos. Of course, they love the parade, and they couldn’t wait to enter the pedal pulls again this year. Eden and Oren even managed to snag 2nd and 3rd place! Afterwards, we held our annual fireworks show with friends and this year was the biggest show the guys have ever put together! With well over 200 individual fireworks and over 20 cakes, they covered an entire hay rack full! As always, such a good show!

Every other free moment we had was spent in the pool. After attending swimming lessons in June, Oren finally worked up enough courage to enter our pool. To say he loves it is an understatement!! After so many years of fear, he’s now the first one out to the pool every time! My mama heart could just explode with joy now that we all are in the pool together! On top of that, after our camping week, Oren decided he no longer needed his training wheels on his bike. As soon as Joe took them off, Oren rode down the driveway without even skipping a beat…less than one year after starting to ride a bike! He has made leaps and bounds this summer in the courage department!

We finished the month with a weekend camping trip to Cutty’s one last time for the summer. With September right around the corner, reminiscing on July has me longing for more summer days. Thankfully August brought us even more fun filled adventures! Maybe I’ll get that update out before we reach the end of September! 🤪 Until next month…
