{A Soft Pink Newborn Session}
From the moment this session was planned, I knew baby Sawyer’s newborn session would be a very special moment! Not only is she absolutely precious, but she belongs to two people who hold a very special place in my heart. I’ve had the joy of photographing Jadi through so many milestones over the years…her senior photos, her engagement, her wedding…and watching her step into motherhood feels incredibly full-circle. To now photograph her first baby feels like the sweetest honor.
Jadi was also our very first babysitter, back when Liella was only 6 months old. She loved on them so well, cared for them with so much patience and tenderness, and quickly became someone our family trusted completely. Watching her and Luke all these years, it was always clear they were meant to be parents. They are two of the most caring, empathetic, generous, and warm-hearted people, and seeing those qualities now poured into their daughter is nothing short of beautiful. It’s easy to see they have both stepped into the parent role effortlessly and gracefully.
Even making the drive from West Des Moines for Sawyer’s newborn session is something I don’t take that lightly. Sawyer is pure sweetness…calm, content, and truly an angel baby. We styled her session with soft pinks, delicate florals, and pearl details that felt timeless, a perfect reflection of just how peaceful and loved she already is.
As I photographed her tiny features and quiet moments, I kept thinking about how special it is to walk alongside families through so many seasons of life. From high school dreams to wedding days, and now to the very beginning of parenthood…it’s a gift I never stop being grateful for.
Jadi and Luke, I am way beyond overjoyed for you both! Sawyer is so lucky to have you as her parents, and I cannot wait to watch your family grow! Thank you for trusting me, once again, with something so meaningful!
