{A Family Heirloom Sitter Session}
There are some babies who smile once or twice during their session…and then there’s Adalyn. This sweet girl was quite literally one of the happiest babies I’ve ever photographed! From the moment she arrived she was all smiles with the sweetest little personality. She has such a joyful presence about her that made every moment of her sitter session feel effortless.
One of my favorite parts of this session was all of the meaningful family touches woven throughout it. Adalyn wore a beautiful blue dress that belongs to her grandmother, who wore it as a baby herself. Even more special? Adalyn’s older sister, Emersyn, also worn this same dress during her own sitter session a couple years ago. Seeing these traditions carried on from one baby girl to the next is one of the sweetest reminders of how meaningful photographs become over time.
She also wore her great grandmother’s pearls, another beautiful family heirloom that has now been photographed on all three Dale sisters during this milestone season. I can only imagine how treasured these images will feel years from now, not only because of how adorable the girls looked wearing them, but because of the stories and generations connected to them.
Sessions like this are such a beautiful reminder that photography is about so much more than documenting what a season looked like. It’s about preserving the memories and pieces of family history woven into it all.
Adalyn, you are pure sunshine, sweet girl! It was such a joy getting to capture this happy season of your life, and I loved seeing your little personality shine so brightly in front of my camera!
