{A Recap of Our August}

Thinking back on August, I feel like it was a whirlwind of a month, but looking back at my photos, I don’t have much to show for it. The main highlight of the month was, once again, camping! This time, we finally talk some family members into joining us and we had the BEST time! Evening glow stick dance party, bike riding, outdoor movie and beach bumming filled our days. Hopefully, next year, our cousins will want to join us again!

The end of the month marked another start to a new school year. This year it’s 4th and 1st grade! For the first time in a few years, I asked the kiddos what they want to be when they grow up. Liella is a little indecisive yet, while Oren wants to be a YouTuber. He has already asked me several times how to get a million subscribers, and honestly, if I knew, I would already have a million myself, HAHA! On the other hand, Eden says she wants to be a photographer like mommy! Queue my melting heart!! I never really gave it a thought that one of my kiddos would “want to be like mommy,” and it’s an indescribable feeling in the best way! This must mean I am doing something that is desirable and feels right in her eyes. She really looks up to me, so now the pressure is on to show her I can be continue to be a successful business owner! Liella has taken a strong interest in what I do lately, as well, asking to attend photoshoots. Recently, I’ve let her tag along to some and have put her to work creating BTS footage. I think this may be the perfect time to teach her some work ethic by instructing her exactly what I am looking for in the footage and paying her for a job well done. Gosh, these kiddos are growing up so quickly!

As we wind down another summer, I’m so thankful for all the time and memories we have shared as a family. This summer was filled with adventure, joy and plenty of core memories. I can’t wait to create even more this fall. Until next month…
