{A Recap of Our September}
We spent September soaking in the last few hot days of summer swimming in our pool and camping at Cutty’s. On Labor Day weekend, while we were camping, Oren decided to give his bike a try for the first time! He rode it with ease after spending the entire summer afraid to get on it. Now, we can’t get him off of it! 😂 I’m so glad he decided to let go of his fears to enjoy a childhood rite of passage. The kiddos love, love, love riding their bikes around Cutty’s paved roads and camping! Oren asks almost everyday when we can go camping and do fireworks again. Until next summer buddy! We finally took our pool down last week and I’m already missing hot summer days to jump into it. I’m crossing my fingers Oren will let go of his water fear to jump in next year!
Last month, my dad’s neck and back pain started to worsen and he finally decided to have it checked out. MRI scans showed he has a condition where his spinal cord is narrowing in which he will need medication to counteract the pain. All of this happened around the time my parents wanted to finish the construction of their patio. So Joe and my brother-in-laws came together to finish the project for them. It was a PROJECT but we finished it all in ONE DAY!!! My heart was literally bursting to see these boys come together and work so hard to get it done. Plus family and cousin time is always the best time! I am so proud of the work they did! I wonder how much it killed my dad to watch someone else do the work? 🤔😂
That’s a wrap on our September! It was much more calming and enjoyable than our September last year. Such a great reminder that tough season are only just that, seasons. They come and go but there is peace knowing that a happier September is on it’s way. Until next month…💕
