{An Iowa Winter Engagement Session}
When I invited Renee and Cody out to our place for their winter engagement session, I’m sure they had no idea that they would be trudging through thick, wet snow for the afternoon. And honestly, I didn’t realize it either! But we’ve had a decent amount of snow this year! They never complained once, no matter how many times I asked them how they were holding up. But I could tell Renee’s feet were getting wet and she was getting cold. Absolutely the SWEETEST couple! It was completely worth it for glowy and snowy shots!
Renee and Cody met through mutual friends in Des Moines 5 years ago and have been inseparable ever since! Last fall, they bought a house together in Ankeny where Cody proposed right on their front porch, where they will start their life and a family together!! How flippin romantic!!! It was fun discussing home renos with these two! They are currently making some cosmetic updates to their new home and with us just finishing our basement, it was fun to compare the two. If Renee’s home style is as beautiful as her fashion sense then I know it will be gorgeous!!
These two have chosen Call State Park for their wedding ceremony location and I am beyond excited for the day! Call Park has a special place in my heart as that is where Joe and I were married! Photographing weddings at the park will always be one of my favorite things! Renee and Cody are naturals in front of the camera and it didn’t take long before they were pros at it! Renee’s model face is STUNNING! I’m excited to see her again next week at Kampen’s Catering Tasting Event! Enjoy some of my favorites from this winter Iowa pasture shoot and then get excited to see these two on their wedding day this August! It’s going to be a dream!
