{A Little Brown Church in the Vale Elopement}

Sometimes love stories take flight…quite literally. Faith and Killian first met while working as pilots for the same airline. After sharing a few flights together, they discovered just how much they had in common. Before long, their paths weren’t just crossing in the skies…they were headed in the same direction! A year and a half ago, Killian proposed during a hike at Lost Dutchman’s State Park in Phoenix, Arizona…a beautiful, scenic beginning to this next chapter of their lives together.

When they reached out to me to photograph their wedding at The Little Brown Church in the Vale, it was a last-minute booking. This was also the first time I had met Faith and Killian. This is SO rare for me as I typically love to meet and get to know my couples before one of the biggest days of their lives. I walked into the day not knowing much about them personally…but it didn’t take long to see how deeply they care for each other. Even in the short hour we spent together, their connection was unmistakable. Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with moments of quiet emotion that spoke volumes.

The Little Brown Church has been a place for love stories like theirs for over 150 years. Built in 1864 and inspired by the beloved hymn written by William S. Pitts, the church has welcomed countless couples from across the country to say “I do” beneath its charming brown walls. With its quaint steeple, historic wooden pews, and the soft glow of stained glass, it carries a timeless, almost sacred warmth…perfect for a wedding as meaningful as Faith and Killian’s.

Faith and Killian’s vows may have only taken minutes to exchange, but they were built on years of shared adventures, challenges, and dreams. As they begin this new journey side-by-side, I can only imagine the horizons they’ll reach together…on the ground and in the air.
