{Recap of Behounek Family Adventures in April 2020}
Remember that one time when I posted about my goals for 2020, and one of those goals was to take more family everyday photos with my “big camera”? Well I am proud to say that I have kept up with it pretty well so far this year! So now I have decided to give myself another goal….like I need another project right?!?! HAHA! I want to give you more of a peek into our lives with a monthly blog post about what we’ve been up to lately. Hopefully I can keep up with this even during my busy seasons! Anyways, here’s what we’ve been up to in April:
I’ll start out and say that April was probably the worst month this year as far as keeping up with my goal. Honestly, I didn’t take that many photos. 🙁 And the saddest part was that I had sooo much more time to after having decided to stay home with the kiddos for 6 weeks during social distancing protocols. But getting used to the new routine was pretty stressful and I didn’t take advantage of the time like I wanted to. Don’t get me wrong! We spent SO much extra FUN time with the kids!! BUT I just didn’t feel the urge to pick up my camera as much as I would have liked. I knew that working at home with 3 littles would not allow much time for anything extra like culling, editing and producing my own images. Having 2 toddlers and a preschooler, I could only have a couple hours a day during nap time to fully focus on work without distractions. And now I truly understand why some photographers who work from home don’t have much time for their own images.
Having said that, April’s images were mostly Easter so I decided to mix in some images from March. But during our time at home we spent lots of time playing outside (since the weather was so nice), having pizza picnics, checking cattle with dad, lots and lots of playtime, started planting our garden, eating lots of farm fresh eggs from grandma and grandpa, learning how to share (still a work in progress) and riding four wheelers. We started potty training Eden and she picked it up so quickly! She made it incredibly EASY for me!!! But now that she is back to daycare it’s taking a little bit more work for her to get used to a new routine with the potty. Oren has become SO obsessed with cars and tractors now that every time we are riding in the car he makes a point to shout out every. single. car, truck or tractor he sees. So basically the entire car ride is “Mama, CAR! Mama, TRACTOR!” HAHA! Liella has been missing school and her friends lately so she is extremely happy to return back to daycare. She’s been loving her Zoom class meetings every week also. Joe’s been working from home and has really enjoyed it! Mostly because he can sleep in a little HAHA! And I finally returned back to the studio this week! It has been great to really focus on all the things I want to accomplish. Warmer weather and spring blooms signifies new beginnings and new growth!
That red hair though!!!!
Until next month….
