{A Family Session}
I’m finally catching up from a super busy summer and I’m now able to carve a little time out to work on my own family portraits that we took back in June!! We’ve had such a busy summer! It started out with Liella’s dance recital, then some birthday parties, weddings and of course a vacation to Okoboji. And lots, and lots of sessions! So what better time then now to update you on what we’ve been up to!
The babes are 19 months now and have grown into little toddlers. They definitely are no longer in the baby stages anymore! Que the tears (ToT). The play together just like any other brother and sister do, sometimes they play well with lots of cute giggles and other times they fight like cats and dogs. You win some, you lose some I guess! Oren likes to babble all the time but we never have any idea what he’s saying. Even though he is very sure of what he is saying. Eden is still very soft spoken until she gets upset, then she wails a scream that could break your finest china. She is saying a few more words then Oren but she loves to copy whatever Liella is saying AND doing. My favorite is when she says “say cheese” whenever a phone in selfie mode is in sight. Her favorite thing to play with are dolls while Oren’s favorite are Hot Wheels or anything with wheels.
Liella started her very first year of school this month and she is loving it!!!! She’s in 4 year old preschool and it’s a tiny bit of an adjustment for mommy but I’m so excited to see what she will learn this year! She is also enrolled in ballet again this year in addition to tap which is new from last year. She’s only had one class so far and is already talking nonstop about tap class. I think she mostly loves the shoes but I think she will love the class as well! On top of all of this she is an amazing big sister!! They all do, at times fight, but for the most part she is very loving and protective of her brother and sister. It’s going to be so fun watching these three grow!
As for Joe and I, we celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary this year and have a few things planned this fall for just the two of us. It’s so important to us that we make time to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just reconnect, constantly trying to remember why we fell in love with each other 18 years ago.
These images are just a small glimpse into our beautiful mess we call life. I have definitely learned what “busy” really means now with 3 little kiddos in tow. But I would never trade it for anything in the world!!
Until next time friends….
Much Love, Carissa
