{A Nature Center and Football Field Senior Session}
I LOVE photographing seniors, but when it’s family, it hits a little differently. Getting to capture my nephew, Lucas, for his senior portraits was one of those full-circle moments that left me both proud and grateful! I remember the day he was born. I remember key moments of him as an adorable little toddler. I remember the sad seven year old who was deeply disappointed to find out our first baby was going to be a girl and not a boy (haha!). I think now he has a strong love for Liella. 😉 But watching him grow into such a smart, determined young man and then stepping in front of my camera to celebrate this milestone…it felt like time had come full speed, and here we are, at his senior year!
Lucas is a Bishop Garrigan senior who has his sights set firmly on his future. He’s hardworking and goal-driven, whether it’s in the classroom or on the field. He pours himself into football and track, and when he’s not competing, you’ll often find him on the golf course or in the weight room, always pushing himself to be better. His determination is inspiring, and I have no doubt it will carry him far as he heads to Iowa Central Community College after graduation.
But beyond all of his accomplishments and drive, one of my favorite things about Lucas is the heart he shows when he’s with family. At every gathering, he’s the one down on the floor playing with my kids, teasing, laughing, and making memories with them. They absolutely adore him, and the bond they share is something I will always treasure.
Lucas, it was such an honor to be the one to document this exciting season of your life! I couldn’t be prouder of the person you’ve become, and I know there are so many incredible things waiting for you just around the corner! Here’s to a senior year full of memories and a future full of promise!
