{Revisiting My Favorite Baby Portraits of the Year}

A couple days ago I shared my “Best of Weddings” for 2023 but, today, it’s all about the babies! This year I wanted to focus on simple, classic setups with the intent to capture babies in their natural state; crawling, grabbing, clapping, playing, etc. I love a good sitting and smiling baby image but there is something to be said about a photograph that captures a baby staring at you, big eyes full of curiosity, or baby reaching for a toy and learning how to play with it, or the softness of their delicate eyelashes. These images are a depiction of your baby at that particular stage of life; their development and personalities. They begin to tell a beautiful story about a precious soul starting out in the world and learning about life. It’s my ultimate goal to create images that are so much more than just “images,” but rather a very special moment in time that can be held forever in the palm of your hand.

The “Best of” blog post are such a great way for me to look back on the year and revisit the fun accomplishments and the amazing people I get to photograph.
