{A Recap of Our November}
Our November was filled with TONS of cousin and family time! These days are really the best!! I didn’t have very many cousins close in my age when I was a child, so watching our kiddos grow up with an abundance of cousins really fills up my heart. I know the best friendships develop from days like these. <3
We kicked off the month with Papa’s 60th birthday celebration. It was a rare occasion where Liella stepped out of the house with her hair down and not in the usual high pony tail she requests from me every day. I love her beautiful, strawberry blonde hair and I wish she would show it off more often. Someday she will appreciate it as much as I do, but I think it’s safe to say, she had a good time razzing papa before he could open his present! Happy 60th, Dad!!!
The following weekend we held our monthly breakfast with cousins and decorated our Christmas tree. The kiddos have become expert tree decorators, I hardly had to rearrange any ornaments! They have learned well over the last few years HAHA! Rest assure, we do have a “kids” tree that is separate and contains all of their precious ornaments they have created over the years. Honestly, I love that tree just as much or more as I do the “aesthetic” tree, both for different reasons.
We finished the month off with the best Thanksgiving weekend eating tons of good food with tons of good people. I decided to take 5 full days off and stay home with the kiddos. It’s something I rarely do but was SO refreshing after such a busy fall! Our annual Christmas pajama photoshoot is becoming more and more fun each year! I hope they let me do this tradition for many more years! Speaking of traditions, decorating Papa and Meemaw’s Christmas tree with cousins the day after Thanksgiving is top of the list. This year, I think we only broke one ornament HAHA!
The highlight of my career the last 12 years is, hands down, these photos in my monthly recap posts. The photos I randomly take of our little family here and there or at special occasions are forever preserved in a family yearbook that create every year. They may not be the most technically exposed images and they are certainly not going to win any awards, but the joy, memories and love that each one contains are worth more than any worldy accolade. I hope one day our future generations with cherish them as much as I do!
Until next month…
