{A Classic Gold and Dusty Blue Wedding at The Shores at Five Island}

Brenna and Jacob are the true definition of a joyful couple! Every look they give each other is quickly followed by a smile or giggle. Just spending five minutes with them it’s easy to see, not only the incredible love they share for one another, but also, how much fun they have together. If you scroll through this blog post and think to yourself, “Wow, these people seem to be really loved and cherished”…. you would be right. Brenna and Jacob are the epitome of thoughtful, loving, and sincerely caring friends. Their friends and family were not shy at expressing how much they adore this special couple.

Their beautiful wedding day was planned around Five Island Lake in Emmetsburg with the ceremony and reception at The Shores overlooking the lake. The location was the perfect setting for Brenna and Jacob’s nature loving and adventurous personalities. Brenna’s mom, Kelly, did majority of the planning and, I have to say, she did a fabulous job! The reception was a solid room of white linens adorned with beautiful white floral arrangements at every table garnished with touches of gold. Each table was complete with gold chargers and real dinnerware, which isn’t something I normally get to experience and photograph at weddings. It was certainly a treat that elevated the entire dining experience. Jacob made a special request to their guests at the beginning of the evening, to fill the dance floor and dance the night away. Their guests took his request seriously and the dance floor was never empty the entire night. In fact, I’m pretty sure the award for most people on the dance floor definitely goes to Brenna and Jacob! What a fun night!
