{A Recap of Our August}
I think more work than fun was had for our crew in August. Tons of hay baling for Joe and lots of sessions for me, trying to work in as much as we can before school began. This year, Liella started second grade sporting some new hardware and wants to be a chef when she grows up. Eden and Oren had their very first day of school, starting in 4 year old preschool! They have been begging to go to school for a solid year now and it was finally their chance! They are absolutely LOVING every bit of it! In fact, on Wednesday mornings, since there is no preschool, we have major meltdowns. I’m so glad they are adjusting well to this new change!
I don’t have much to show for the month but we did manage to have a weekend sleepover/pool party with our cousins from Eastern Iowa. We don’t get together as often as we would like but we try to make a point at least once a year. By some crazy, Christmas miracle, we were able to get two sets of twins, one set of triplets, Liella and Mila together for a halfway decent cousin photo!! Still not sure how we managed to pull it off but nine littles under 7 with over half under two, I’m impressed with the results!!
Rounding out the month, I wrangled my three littles for some portraits. I just love how the light filters through the trees in this particular spot in our pasture! Surprisingly, all three still love to get their picture taken! I hope some day they will love my monthly recaps as much as I do. 💕
Until next month…
Hayes was LOVING the sprinkler!!
Remi, not so much! 😂
