{A True Lifestyle Family Photography in Sioux City, IA}

The Schreiner family welcomed me into their Saturday morning–slow and full of intentional time with one another. Reading Nancy Drew, snuggling on the couch, tickle fights, building Magnatiles and climbing a Pikler triangle set. This particular morning was full of laughter, peacefulness and, of course, love. This session wasn’t about sitting and posing just right, or smiling and looking at the camera. It was about documenting a family’s natural rhythm at home–the simple joys and moments that weave a family’s story together.

I have been photographing our family like this for years. My personal blog posts are full of everyday images of us living and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. At the end of every year, I create a book of these images and, other than the amazing humans that fill the pages, it is one of my most prized possessions. These books are OUR family story.
