{A Fall Iowa Pasture Engagement Session}
The busy fall season is in full swing and the foliage hit it’s max peak last week, just in time for Halie and Nick’s engagement session. The colors in our pasture have been so vibrant this year, when typically the color of the oak trees are dull and boring most fall seasons. I was so excited to bring Halie and Nick out there! I photographed Halie’s little brother’s senior pictures a few years back so I was extremely honored when she emailed me for her wedding!
We spent the evening wandering through our pasture capturing every bit of golden fall color as possible. I had a few fun ideas I ran across Halie before we started and at every one she mentioned that Nick would love it. It was clear to see that Nick’s happiness is a top priority to Halie. When we were nearing the end of the session, I asked the two how they were feeling about the entire shoot, and Nick said, “If she’s happy then I’m happy.” It’s obvious he cares deeply about Halie’s happiness as well! And that’s when I knew these two are such a special couple! It makes me even more excited for their wedding day! We finished the session with a pop of champagne and a toast to their future together. I have been loving this tradition with my engagement sessions lately!
Halie and Nick, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a joyful season of your lives! You both are so beautiful with kind hearts to match – and I had so much fun photographing you! I can’t WAIT for the big day!!! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!
