{A Winter Engagement Session in Algona, IA}

Alyssa and Grant met in college with Alyssa making the first move to message him. After their first date together, they’ve been inseparable over the last 4 years! Grant proposed last fall at the grove on their acreage at sunset. Talk about a dreamy, classic Iowa proposal! They currently spend their time wedding planning and working on their fixer upper home on the acreage.

Alyssa was craving more of a spring vibe for their engagement session while Grant wanted snow. I thought it would be the perfect mix to start the session in my white studio room with a clean and classic feel, and then finish off the session at Water’s Edge Nature Center for the much desired snow look. We had THE BEST February day for a winter engagement session! The weather, the sun and the temps all aligned for Alyssa and Grant! They brought their sweet pup, Addy, to join in towards the end of the session. She is in her teen years and is just so precious! I love how much Alyssa and Grant LOVE her! At the very end of the session we celebrated their engagement by popping a bottle of champagne! Cheers to Alyssa and Grant in choosing forever together! I loved my time with these two at their session. They made my job so easy which allowed me to be creative and do some fun things around the nature center! We took WAY too many portraits and had so much fun. I can’t wait to celebrate these two more this fall!
