{A Classic Winter Wedding in Humboldt, IA}
Like many other couples during these times, Abi and Travis’s original wedding day was affected by Covid. They realized they needed to move their date when they both tested positive less than a week before the big day! Thankfully this time of year is considered a slow period for wedding season and moving their date 3 weeks later proved to be such a GIFT to them! Saturday’s weather was BEAUTIFUL and…..we had SNOW! All this paired with Abi’s great taste in winter wedding style made for such a AMAZING day!
Abi opted to not do a First Look with Travis but instead, a daddy/daughter first look. Such a sweet and tender moment with her daddy! As the ceremony began and Abi made her way down the aisle, the reaction on Travis’s face was priceless!! I quickly realized that both families were not shy in sharing their emotions. The emotions even carried into the reception with several hilarious toasts (probably one of the best Best Man speeches I have heard) all the way to the teary-eyed special dances. It’s always the dances that gets my tears rolling every time because, all I can think about is when my littles some day will be getting married and we will be in those shoes, giving them away.
Abi and Travis: it is so evident that you are SO LOVED by your families and friends. It was such an honor to witness and capture the amazing love and joy between you two. I’m praying for the most beautiful first year of marriage for you both. I hope you enjoy scrolling through your gorgeous winter wedding day through my eyes!
