{A Blue and Neutral Newborn Session}

I haven’t had a newborn baby in the studio since May, so it was such a treat to have baby Derrick come last week! I love seeing this family grow and I adore being a part of all the special moments in their lives! From Melissa and Matt’s wedding day, to the birth of their twin boys and documenting their first year milestones, to now, with the birth of their third baby boy! In my opinion, it is the ultimate achievement and compliment as a photographer to have very dear clients return time and time again. It’s something I don’t take lightly and I treasure deeply. 💕 Also, I love the conversation I get to have with other twin mamas. Blaine and Cole are about one year younger than Eden and Oren so it’s fun to bond over the twin toddler stage. Toddler stage times two is a crazy rollercoaster of a journey that no twin mom should do alone! 😂 But honestly, Blaine and Cole were some of the BEST behaved toddlers I have photographed! They did wonderful!

It’s crazy the connection that Melissa and I have with twins! I was 30 weeks pregnant with Eden and Oren while I photographed Melissa and Matt’s wedding. While, at the same time, Melissa’s sister-in-law was pregnant with twins due two days before me! A little over a year later and Matt and Melissa give birth to their own set of twins! I like to think her sister-in-law and I were good luck charms for them! 😉😂 And now, two years later, my sister-in-law has given birth to twins! So crazy bizarre and so beautiful! Twins, twins, they’re everywhere! 🤣

All morning long, Derrick was throwing little smirks and it was fun to see the adorable facial expressions he made. He slept like a champ and he ate like a champ too! I’m excited to see how much he grows in roughly six months, or so, when I see him again for his sitter session. Enjoy all of my favorites from his newborn session!
