{A Senior Session in Rural Iowa}
I first met Cloey when she was a little girl at her family’s photoshoot several years ago, back when my studio was located in West Bend. And now she’s all grown up and a senior at West Bend-Mallard! Cloey had so many great ideas for her senior session, including wanting to use a barn and an old truck. Luckily, I knew exactly where we could find those things! 😉 First up, was a quick shot at a cement wall covered in green vines, down the street from my studio. It was a great find by Cloey! I never knew this wall existed even though I drive by it every day! I love the final results of those images! After those quick portraits, we headed to our farm where the pups were able to get out and play with Cloey. Copper and Texas were fantastic models and I could tell that Cloey truly has a passion for working with dogs. Next, we headed over to the barn where Cloey wore THE cutest black dress and adorable accessories with the perfect touch of red! We squeezed in one more outfit around the barns before heading to Joe’s truck in our pasture. Golden hour + Joe’s green Ford + Cloey’s beautiful dress = HEAVEN!!! I could have photographed her for hours and hours in that same location! Those are, hands down, my favorite images of the session! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening!
Cloey and her mom sent me the sweetest thank you note right after our session, before even seeing any of her images. It truly made my day!! We REALLY had so much fun during her session and little gestures like that reassures me that I am exactly where I’m suppose to be in life. 🥰 Cloey–I hope you enjoy these last few months of high school before you are off to start your very own, beautiful future! And I pray that you are continuously blessed with moments of reassurance like what you had given me! 💕
