{An Urban Senior Session in Downtown Fort Dodge}
When Kennedy and I were first talking about her senior session and what she was envisioning, she was pretty adamant about not wanting to have the same image as everyone else with the large stone steps in her front yard. I TOTALLY understood her! I love to do things different from others! When we were discussing further about what she wanted and seeing her #1 pick for an urban setting, I immediately suggested downtown Fort Dodge. And thankfully Kennedy was up for the drive! This new shooting location breathed so much creativity into me!! Not only was I inspired by new backgrounds but I am obsessed with how the light pours through all the buildings. And Kennedy is STUNNING! She was so incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, I hardly had to give any direction. Half way through the session, her mom told me that Kennedy’s grandma was a MODEL and that she (Kennedy’s mom) did some modeling herself. 😮 That explained SO MUCH as to why Kennedy was such a natural!
Even with the rustic buildings, beautiful light and a gorgeous senior, my favorite part of the entire session was getting to know Kennedy and her mom more! Their story is so lovely and unique and I enjoyed listening to every aspect of it. The conversations I have with my clients hold such a special place in my heart! Plus Kennedy’s mom brought wine and snacks!!!!!! 😍 New favorite mom alert!!! 😂 Kennedy — I am beyond excited to see how you will make an impact on this world, because I know it will be immense! I am secretly praying you will follow your artistic side 😉 after high school. But mostly I hope you do what makes your heart sing! Enjoy all of my faves from this amazing session!
Spray Tan: Glow Algona
This jacket was Kennedy’s step-dad’s that he bought when he was in high school from the strip mall LOOOONG before it was Kmart and now Bomgaars! How freaking cute is it!?!?! LOVE the nostalgia!!
