{A Hunting Theme Cake Smash Session}

Can’t believe this little nugget is 1! It seems like yesterday when Alexa was still willing to follow through with her newborn session appointment during all of the Covid shutdowns. I was incredibly thankful! I hadn’t had any sessions for weeks and the fear and anxiety of the future of my business was overpowering. I remember writing a social media post around this time of year about weathering the storm and that beautiful things can come from hard seasons in life. I still fully believe this and as I look back at the last year, I sit and chuckle (as I knew I would). Oh if only we could see the future and realize that our cares and worries are miniscule. And now that it seems as though life is slowly returning to normal, I see more joy in the people around me and it makes my heart so happy! I love seeing community breakfasts and school concerts coming back. Dance recitals being planned and trips being taken. First Communions, baptisms and graduations on the calendar. And the return of date night! I just love seeing people going out and thoroughly enjoying life the way it was intended! It fills my heart!

This little boy is the epitome of JOY and excitement!! I don’t know any other baby that has been more excited to hang out with me than Ace! It’s bittersweet to see his last milestone session come and go, but hopefully one day he will bring in a baby sibling to join the #CBSbabe club!
