{A Winter Engagement in Humboldt, IA}
Ah…we had THE MOST perfect winter day for Hannah and Chris’ engagement session! We lucked out because the original scheduled date was a couple weeks ago when the frigid temps hit us hard. So glad we rescheduled because everything about Saturday was magical! We met at Joe Reasoner Dam in Humboldt, where Hannah and Chris spent their first date and where he eventually proposed on Thanksgiving! The trees along the paths are normally full of leaves during the summer which makes for tons of dark holes in my style of photography but during the winter the sun is able to shine through and create some beautiful, glowing light. These two seriously made it so easy for me to photograph them! I didn’t even have to ask them to kiss, they just did anyways! They’re so cute!
Chris and Hannah met online and have been dating long distance ever since. Planning a wedding while living in separate towns can be a struggle but these two are on the ball and make it look easy. I loved having some time to get to know these two and hear about their story! I’m thankful that these two trusted me not only to capture their engagement session but that they are trusting me to capture their wedding day! It’s such an honor and I do not take this responsibility lightly. I love these two and I can’t wait to see them again this summer in Okoboji!!! Enjoy my favorites from their super fun shoot! (Also, don’t miss her RING! It is incredibly unique!!!!)
