{A Fall Mock Engagement Session in Iowa}
I met Jadi 5 years ago when we were looking for a babysitter for the first time ever. Liella was 6 months old and we had planned to do a little 4-wheeling locally with some friends and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. My sister-in-law suggested her little sister Jadi to babysit. Jadi was in high school, adored children and LIVES for babysitting! I mean…she is literally living her best life when she is babysitting! Needless to say, it was a match made in heaven! But after about 1 hour of riding Jadi called me to say that Liella was crying and wouldn’t stop. Nothing she could do would soothe her. So we came home and as soon as I picked up Liella she was completely fine. She just missed her mama! There maaay have been a slight attachment issue with Liella hahaha! š But poor Jadi! Haha! Thankfully Jadi still wanted to return for babysitting after that and became our regular sitter on the rare occasion that Joe and I left the house. When Jadi left for college it was a sad day because we knew it would be hard to find a replacement who is as good with children as she is. But she is always willing to come home to babysit when we need an overnight sitter for a long weekend. She is sooooo incredible with our children, they love her and I know it’s hard to find another soul out there like hers when it comes to childcare. Jadi met Luke pretty early in college and it turns out he loves watching children as much as Jadi! Another match made in heaven! When we added 2 more babies to our clan it was good knowing that Luke wanted to join Jadi on those weekends for the extra help. These two are so perfect together and it makes my heart so happy that Jadi has found such a great guy! I’m so glad they let me pull them aside for a little photoshoot this fall. So for now, I’ll be sitting over here patiently waiting for that engagement ring. š
I just love this little moment! Luke was brushing off either a hair or bug from Jadi’s face. It was sooooo sweet!!
