{A Recap of Behounek Family Adventures August 2020}
We were living in the dog days of summer and then BOOM! With the flip of a switch, it now feels like we are in the dead of winter HAHA! Welcome to Iowa, right?!?! We spent our last summer days doing what we love to do! Shirtless pizza picnics, lots of pool time and hanging out with cousins! August was full of big milestones for Liella! She lost her first tooth! She started learning to ride her bike without training wheels at daycare (still trying to talk daddy into taking her training wheels off š )! And we can’t forget…she started her very first day of kindergarten!!! Liella is LOVING kindergarten!! I’m always so excited to hear what she did for the day. But it’s been a bit of an adjustment to her exhaustion levels. I hoping it will all level out at the end of this month.
Eden and Oren are just the same sassy little two year olds, only Oren takes the cake! We blame it on the red hair! HAHA! More and more, every day, I am impressed by their ever-growing vocabulary! We’ve been working on counting and learning colors lately. All 3 have been growing like weeds! The girls are both in the 80-90 percentile for height and they sure as heck don’t get it from their mama! HAHA! Liella and mommy have been spending waaay too much time at Target these days and it’s becoming a bit of an addiction for Liella! I think I might have created a monster HAHA! The Target obsession is real in my little 5 year old!
Last month we said goodbye to Joe’s Grandpa Dennis. It was a sad day but we know he lived an incredible 95 years and is finally reunited with his bride. This prompted me to make a goal to spend more time with my grandparents and to have my children get to know them a little bit more outside of family get-togethers. We visited Grandma Berys a couple weeks ago and it brought back all the memories from when I was a kid. Grandma always had the best snacks PLUS she lives right next to a big park! Soooo many great memories playing at that park! It’s definitely hard to carve extra time out from a full-time small business owner and mom of 3 littles BUT I know it’s sooooooo important. I know Grandma enjoyed it just as much as the kiddos! š
Until next month…
Living her best park life!
