{Recap of Behounek Family Adventures in May 2020}
Last month I’ve committed myself to doing a monthly family blog post so you can get a glimpse of what we do when I’m not taking pictures AND to keep myself accountable of my goal to take more personal photos with my “big camera.” So far I’m 2 for 2 months in! Haha! Let’s see if I can make it to the end of the year! Honestly, our lives are quite boring HAHA! We are definitely not cool enough for a Youtube vlog with millions of followers or anything like that BUT we try to have fun every chance we get.
At the beginning of May, after being on coronavirus lockdown for so long, we finally got to see a couple of our cousins, Daelynn and Evey, and host our first ever sleepover with them! It was SO. MUCH. FUN!!! And I’m looking forward to many more sleepovers to come! After that weekend and looking over these images, it has became extremely apparent to me that our families (mine and my sisters) have children that LOVE to run around in nothing but just underwear. Please, PLEASE tell me we are not the only ones!!! HAHA!
Joe spoiled me pretty well for Mother’s Day this year so now the pressure is really on for Father’s Day. Yikes! š Liella made a card for me out of a portion of a Keystone box! HAHAHA! She’s creative! It was really beautiful though and it’s my favorite card to-date. Mother’s Day ended with a delicious meal and spending time with Joe’s family for the first time since coronavirus lockdowns began.
On Memorial Day weekend, we finally got to meet baby Kinnick (the second of my new baby nephews) for the first time since he was born in early April! He is such a snuggle bug! I am completely kicking myself for not bringing my camera along for some pictures of him. š Plus, the girls always love playing with their cousin Kaia!
May is a big month in our family! It’s full of celebrations with Joe’s birthday, our wedding anniversary and Mother’s Day.Ā Our anniversary is the 30th, the day before Joe’s birthday so we usually like to do a little something special. But this year we stayed home and just spent time together as a family. With everything going on in the world right now it’s hard to go out and about while still feeling safe so we just laid low this year. Joe received a brand new coffee pot for his birthday! Oh the joys of being an adult HAHA! I also got him a Bug-A-Salt and he throughly enjoys shooting flies with table salt. HAHA! If you know me at all, you know that I do not like birthday cake or even like to bake in general. So naturally, Joe’s birthday cake was store bought. The kids sure did love it though!
May was also full of accomplished goals for me and the studio! I finally replaced my wood background with a lighter, more natural looking wood that I absolutely love shooting on!! The Bump featured my work again and I had printedĀ senior work in the SeniorMUSE magazine! A huge goal of mine for a long time!!!!! And the best yet…I’m finally back to shooting weddings!!! YAY!!
And last but not least, recently we’ve been spending the hot days under the sprinkler and water table. We bought a new pool and can’t wait to get it set up for the season!! So I’m sure you’ll see more of that to come!
These girls are fierce!
My little model!
When the bus is about to crash! HAHAHA!
Oren wasn’t a fan of the hose! HAHA!
