{A Social Distance Home Wedding During the Coronavirus Pandemic | Algona Iowa}
When closures started in March for Covid-19, I thought for sure by the end of May everything would be back to normal. But I was so wrong! As May approached, I started getting very worried Jeni and Ryan’s day would be another wedding rescheduled for me. But thankfully a couple weeks ago restrictions started to lift and churches are now able to preform small wedding ceremonies following social distancing guidelines! Ryan and Jeni’s ceremony was live streamed for all of those that couldn’t make it. They memorized their own vows and the recessional was complete with the couple ushering guests out while staying masked. Definitely a ceremony to be remembered! They moved their reception location to her parent’s home in the country and cut down their guest list to a max of 70 people. The first dance was beautifully choreographed and Ryan sang to his mom during the mother/son dance. It was so incredible sweet and there wasn’t a single dry eye in the building. The day couldn’t have been more perfect!!!
Jeni and I both have four sisters! The bond between sisters is something so special and even better yet when you have four to share it with. Jeni reserved a special surprise father/daughter dance with all of her sisters. Jeni’s sisters returned the surprise with a bell performance during toasts to celebrate Jeni and Ryan meeting through the bell choir at their church.
Jeni and Ryan are one of the sweetest couples I know. It shows through the love and support of their families that were willing to travel and brave a group during a pandemic. I’m so incredibly happy for this couple! This wedding day will be remember for so much more than any regular wedding day. Congratulations Jeni and Ryan!!!! I couldn’t be more excited for you two, from now until forever!! Enjoy your wedding day from my perspective!
