{Happy Birthday Joe!}

Today is the day that we celebrate you and all that you do for us! You work hard for our family everyday always putting us and our needs first. You very rarely take a moment to do something for yourself…including today. While we spend our day off at home, you are away at work. Whenever someone asks for your help or expertise you are always willing to lend a hand in any way that you can. You are the true definition of selfless. Something I aspire to be everyday.

Our lives are moving at warp speed right now and there is no way to slow it down. The years go by faster and faster, picking up more and more speed every year. It’s even hard to believe that we are coming up on our 5th year in the house that we built together. We are starting to feel our age physically a little bit more every year. And parenthood has brought lots of frustrations but even more laughs and fun. So my wish for you is to take a little time to appreciate the fact that from this day forward you will never be as young as you are right now.

I know that you think birthdays are “just another day” but to me I love to celebrate them because I am truly thankful for the day you were born. Because without you I certainly wouldn’t be the person I am today! And any opportunity to celebrate you and everything that you are is a good day! So Happy Birthday Joe!
