{A Wine Tasting at Train Wreck Winery}
I’ve been dreaming of getting my brides together for an annual reunion to celebrate them, catch up with them and thank them for trusting me with one of the biggest days of their lives. And last Saturday we finally made it happen! I treated them to a wine tasting at Train Wreck Winery located right across the street from the studio. Jean Larson, part owner/operator, lead the wine tasting and enlightened us on the stories behind each of the wine’s names. All 11 wines plus Holiday Spice and the yummy wine slushy are made at the winery. Majority of the grapes are grown just outside of Livermore, literally less then 2 miles from my house, at the location of the famous train wreck from 1920. Such incredible history is embedded in the depot and it was the greatest pleasure to host my brides there. After trying all 12 options, my faves are still Kate and Caboose BUT I’m definitely open to Edelweiss for a semi-sweet option. The wine slushy was especially delicious and ALL 6 of us spent the afternoon with a slushy mug in our hands. And bonus, we got to keep our commemorative Train Wreck Winery glass from the tasting! I’m excited to continue with this yearly tradition and welcoming new and more brides. Cheers! And until next year…
Much Love,
Carissa
