{An Early Spring, Iowa Engagement Session}
Teri and Dalton’s engagement session landed on one of those early spring days…warm sunshine, just a touch of fresh snow still melting away, and that sense of a new season right around the corner (quite literally for these two!).
After nearly eight years together, there’s such an easy, natural connection between these two. The kind that doesn’t need to be forced or overthought…it just is. They’re sweet, playful, and so comfortable together, which made their entire session feel effortless and full of genuine moments.
One of my favorite parts of their session was getting to meet their 19-month-old son, Warren. He truly could not have been more content…just the happiest, most easygoing little guy, patiently waiting his turn and soaking it all in. Watching the three of them together was so special! You can already see the beautiful little family they’ve built, and it added such a meaningful layer to their photos.
Dalton proposed last December at the Kiwanis Holiday Lights in Mankato, such a magical setting for such a big moment. Teri was completely surprised, which just makes it all the more sweet. It’s always so fun hearing how these stories unfold, especially when they reflect the thought and care behind them.
From the laughter to the quieter in-between moments, their entire session felt joyful and relaxed, just like them. It’s couples like Teri and Dalton who remind me how special it is to capture this season of life, right before everything shifts into something new.
Teri and Dalton, your session was such a joy, and I’m already counting down the days until your wedding. It’s going to be here so soon, and I cannot wait to celebrate you both (and see Warren again, of course 🤍).
