{A Copper/Mauve and Navy Wedding in Northern Iowa}
From the very first moment I stepped into Natalie and Connor’s wedding day, I knew it was going to be something special! They are two of the most thoughtful, generous people I’ve ever met, and Natalie may quite possibly be one of the most joyful brides I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing. Add in perfect weather (a sunny 70° day with just the slightest breeze) and it truly felt like God had His hand in every detail.
Everywhere you looked, you could see how much care and intention had been poured into this celebration. From the carefully curated bridal details to the way loved ones were woven so thoughtfully into the ceremony, it was clear this wedding was designed not just to be beautiful, but to honor the people who mean the most to them. One of my favorite details was the sweetest getaway car, a white convertible, they drove away in after saying “I do.”
But the beauty of their day extended far beyond the pretty details. It was the way their family and friends absolutely adored them. It was the little God-given signs, like the white feathers that appeared outside during portraits, a meaningful reminder of one of Natalie’s loved ones watching from above. It was the way Natalie and Connor so genuinely celebrated everyone around them.
A true testimony to their thoughtfulness, when I arrived a special corsage was designated for ME to wear! I would never, in my wildest dreams, expect to be recognized as a special guest being the paid photographer at a wedding, but Natalie and Connor so loving thought I deserved to be. It speaks volumes about who Natalie and Connor are. They see people. They love people deeply. And they make everyone around them feel valued.
Natalie and Connor, your day was nothing short of extraordinary! The love you share is radiant, your thoughtfulness is unmatched, and it is an honor to just know you both and to be in your presence during this special season in your lives. What a gift it was to witness the beginning of your marriage, a marriage I know will be just as full of joy, faith, and love as the two of you are.
