{A Classic Black and Champagne Wedding at Lizard Creek Ranch}
Despite the heat advisory and some wild Iowa winds, Haley and Brandon’s day couldn’t have been more beautiful. From the moment I arrived, there was an overwhelming sense of joy and excitement in the air…these two have waited for this day, and it was so worth it.
Haley looked absolutely STUNNING…the kind of radiance that comes from both beauty and pure happiness. I’ve known Haley for years, and to see her marry such a kind, caring, and grounded man like Brandon just made my heart burst. There’s nothing sweeter than watching someone you’ve known as a teen step confidently into this beautiful new season of life.
One of my favorite details from the day? The ham balls. Yup, ham balls. Not only were they a delicious part of dinner, but they also held a super sentimental story. When Haley and Brandon first met (at another wedding), Brandon tried ham balls for the very first time…and loved them! Since then, on the 21st of every month, including their wedding day, they’ve made a little tradition of eating them together. It’s the kind of simple, sweet, little thing that speaks volumes about the joy they find in each other and the intentionality they bring to their relationship.
The dance was where the real party started as Tyler Richton and the High Bank Boys set the stage (literally) for the perfect street dance energy on the outdoor patio at Lizard Creek Ranch. The music, the laughter, the dance floor…it was a small-town summer night in the very best way.
Haley & Brandon—from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me with such a special day. You’re the kind of couple that reminds me why I do what I do. I am truly so honored to have be a part of this special season in your lives. I’ll be cheering you on every 21st of the month and every day in between!
