{An American Girl Summer with TEAM 26}
Last week was our first official session together with TEAM 26 and I’m thrilled to be working with my largest senior spokesmodel group ever! Even better yet, these 10 girls had me ROLLING with laughter all evening long! It’s safe to say this group has an instant connection and love to have FUN! Our first shoot was labeled as a mini session, but if I’m being completely honest, it was definitely more like a full themed session. All decked out in red, white and blue, the TEAM made the “American Girl Summer” spirit come to life. With vintage Coke bottles, watermelon slices, sparklers and, of course, the American flag, it felt like the 4th of July came early this year! If you know me at all, then you know summer is my absolute favorite time of year…so naturally an Americana styled shoot has been on my list for years. These girls pulled my vision board into real life, effortlessly! Without further ado, let’s introduce you to the TEAM!
Meet TEAM 26!
Nora – The oldest of four and lives on a farm outside of Emmetsburg. Sports are her biggest passion and is heavily involved in school (Emmetsburg High) and her church. She has always loved art growing up and now uses her talents to create t-shirt designs, posters or signs for companies when needed.
Jozzlynne – Attends Algona High and leans more on the introverted side but is eager to get out of her shell and become more confident in front of a camera.
Rose – This Bishop Garrigan senior loves to dance. As a student and helper at Energy Dance, she spends all her free time in the dance studio.
Allison – Loves to read fantasy books and has a fierce attachment for crowns. She owns several tiaras and a medieval looking sword. On top of reading, she’s also heavily involved in softball, both Algona high school and travel teams, playing year-round. In her free time, she works as a CNA, lifeguard and takes care of her 6 cats.
Ashtyn – This extrovert thrives by being creative and connecting with new people. She enjoys reading, writing and learning new things. Last year, she actually read 52 books! As a West Bend-Mallard senior, her positivity radiates every day.
Morgan – An Algona High student who describes herself as hardworking, kind and a caring person. She’s a CNA and enjoys going on adventures and taking tropical vacations. On top of that, she’s a full time college student while attending high school.
Claire – Claire is an only child who loves to travel, especially to different sporting events. She loves to watch sports, mainly the Iowa Hawkeyes being her number one team. This West Hancock student is involved in speech, cheer, cross country, and basketball stats. A bubbly, positive girl who loves the ocean, especially dolphins, has always wanted to be a marine biologist. In her spare time, she works at a local coffee shop in Britt.
Danica – Another extremely active student who is involved in jazz band, dance, cheer, and a lot of different choirs. This Emmetsburg High student aspires to help people by attending the University of Iowa to study in the medical field. She currently work as CNA at the Emmetsburg Care Center, along with waitressing at a cafe and lifeguarding in the summer. Her current obsession, a chiweenie named Bruno that she adopted for free!
Ava – This laid-back girl is the oldest of five. She’s very close with her sister in which they spend a lot of time together, shopping, doing hair and makeup, watching movies, and going to sporting events. Currently, she plays golf for Emmetsburg High and is really enjoying the sport. She spends a lot of time babysitting, hanging out with friends, working, going for walks, waterskiing in the summer, attending sibling events and binging a good Netflix series.
Haley – Haley has a very bright, bubbly personality and loves fashion and design. She enjoys playing sports, spending time with family, being active, and trying new creative things. After graduating Bishop Garrigan, she plans to attend cosmetology school, where she hopes to do hair, makeup, and other aesthetics.
