{A Simple, Classic Fall Wedding in Algona, IA}
This wedding day was a fairy tale! A real, legitimate romance story featuring Prince Charming and a Disney princess. Ok, well maybe not an actual Disney princess, but in my opinion, Mrya might as well be one! She looked stunning in her Morilee ball gown covered in floral appliques complete with detachable poet sleeves, very reminiscent of a fairy princess. Her natural gracefulness, easygoing manner and kindness is something that is only found in enchanting novels. And, when her and Kevin shared their first dance as husband and wife to the theme song of Tanlged, that sealed the deal for me! She has to be an undercover princess!
Kevin and Myra were wed at Trinity Lutheran Church in a simple, yet lovely ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends on an incredibly beautiful fall day. We ventured out to Water’s Edge Nature Center for portraits surrounded by gorgeous foliage at it’s peek. The Asian lady beetles and no see um’s were in their peek season as well. The amount of bugs that covered Kevin, Myra and their wedding party was intense! I kept telling everyone that these few moments of annoyance would all be worth it once they see these portraits. Let’s just say, the park was showing off the prettiest October mid-day light and I may have over shared way too many portraits below! One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was Kevin and Myra forwent a traditional cake cutting and opted to roast marshmallows instead. They both love adventure and camping so this fun change made sense to who they are as a couple.
The connection Kevin and Myra share together is something straight out of a romance novel. Let’s put it this way, they made my job of photographing them incredibly easy! It’s obvious Kevin has the upmost admiration, respect and love for Myra. The joy between them both is inspiring. I can just see it now, the next Disney movie featuring Myra, an elegant fairy princess, and her prince charming, Kevin, frolicking in a fall forest together! Myra and Kevin, it’s been an incredible honor getting to know you and seeing your loving relationship firsthand. I am thrilled to have been a small part of such a big season of your life! May your first year of marriage be joyful, loving and memorable! Enjoy your day through my eyes!!
