{An Algona High Senior Session}
Evie’s original session date was rescheduled due to torrential downpours. We received over 3″ of rain in about 2 hours and there was no way we were going to shoot outdoors in the that kind of weather! The following week we met up to attempt a remake. Rain threatened us again (seems to be a theme this season) but thankfully it all passed before we started! First stop was downtown Algona, where Evie’s porcelain skin and soft blue eyes really shined. After exploring downtown, we headed out to the nature center where we were given the best gift, a nice breeze. This truly was a GIFT because the evening before I was attacked by giant swarms of bugs, but with Evie, the breeze kept the bugs away! The wind even added a soft flow into Evie’s beautiful hair. A win/win in my book! After wandering through the flower fields, we ended the night at the football field to show off her dancing skills!
Evie, an Algona High Student, loves biking and puzzles. When she’s not biking or doing puzzles, you can usually find her practicing color guard or dance. In school, she is involved in color guard, dance, model UN and mock trial. After high school she plans to attend Iowa State with an undergraduate in genetics and a masters in forensic science. Her dream is to some day work in a forensic lab.
Evie–thank you so much for trusting me with such a fun milestone in your life! The poise and grace you possess will have you navigating life’s challenges with true elegance. Your dream of pursuing a career in forensic science is fascinating and incredibly admirable! It speaks to your curiosity, intelligence and desire to make a meaningful impact on the world. I’m excited to see the amazing things you will accomplish! Enjoy your final year of high school!!!
