{Shades of Olive Green Wedding at Lizard Creek Ranch}

Who would have guessed that a May wedding in Iowa would bring July weather! The temperatures reached 85 degrees on Saturday for Trent and Neely’s big day but, nonetheless, it was a BEAUTIFUL day! It also marked the very first wedding day where I had gotten sunburn! Scrolling through these images makes every single minute in the hot sun completely worth it!

Neely planned the entire wedding day so intentionally. The venue, the colors, the bridal details. Everything was just how she envisioned it to be, even down to the special gift she gave Trent to commemorate his father. What I love most of all is the delicate rings she made for her and her sisters with their maiden name engraved on top. PLUS Neely’s wedding band, which was fused with her grandmother and great grandmother’s wedding bands. Sentimental family details tug at my heart strings every single time. Neely arranged for a special mother/daughter dance during the reception and at this moment is when the tears started overflowing. They have such a beautiful bond! It put me in all the feels thinking about Liella and Eden one day getting married.

Just watching Neely and Trent together, it’s obvious they are so in love with each other! I love their playfulness towards each other and their not-so-serious take on life. This joyfulness and level of adoration is a photographer’s DREAM! I don’t know if I have ever had an easier couple to pose and capture!
