I feel like I have been waiting for this season for so many years, and it’s finally here!!! Jenna and Dustin are ready to commit to forever together and I am so incredibly honored to document their story! Another Reding wedding I am thrilled to capture, making 3 in total! You can just consider me a part of the family by now, HAHA!

Jenna and Dustin understood the assignment! They really wanted their engagement session to embody elegance and romance in downtown Des Moines and their clothing choices reflected this vibe accurately. During their session, we graced the rooftop of The Equitable Building, as well as roamed it’s lobby hall all lined with marble and elevators featuring gold doors. We strolled through the streets in downtown Des Moines and even stopped for a drink at their favorite dive bar.

Throughout the entire session there were so many God moments that made it feel like we were in the right place at the right time. We began at the Alpine Taproom and as soon as we sat down Matchbox 20 began playing, which happens to be one of Jenna’s favorite bands. The bartender warned us that a bar crawl would arrive at anytime and thankfully we finished just as the party was walking in. We were able to capture everything we needed without having to work around a large crowd. Next, we headed to The Equitable Building. Jenna’s original plans with an employee letting us in the building fell through two weeks before our session date. She took to Reddit to see if she could find a solution as a last ditch effort. Thankfully, a man responded that would be able to help and it turns out that Dustin actually knows this man, our rescuer! And to top it off, we had the most beautiful April weather that any Iowan could ever ask for!

Jenna and Dustin, all these little moments throughout your engagement has me 1000% believing the life you two will build together is predestined for eternity.
