{A Fall Engagement Session at River Valley Orchards & Winery}

They met through mutual friends at an Iowa State football event but Nicole was not interest at first. Reed kept perusing her relentlessly, and eventually offered to help out and donate to her sister’s breast cancer benefit. At the point she decided she better give him a chance, and in Nicole’s words, “thankfully it worked out!” During their engagement session it was pretty obvious that these two are an amazing match! You can see the sparkle in Nicole’s eyes every time she smiles at Reed. And it’s clear to see that Reed will do whatever it takes to make Nicole happy. A match made in heaven!

I met the two at River Valley Orchard & Winery for their engagement session and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect evening! It’s been years since I have walked around the property and the fall season is absolutely stunning on her! We strolled through golden birch trees, wispy weeping willows and grape vines just starting to change colors. The glowy sun setting made everything even more magical! I can see why the venue is a favorite pick for weddings! I don’t know if I’ve ever had a couple laugh and giggle as much as Reed and Nicole…. and I loved it. They made my job so easy which allowed me to be creative and do some fun ideas around the winery!

We took WAY too many portraits and had so much fun! I cannot wait to show up on their wedding day and work with them all over again. They feel like sweet old friends and that’s exactly how I like it!
