{A Sunny Spring Engagement at Jester Park, Granger, Iowa}
I met Megan almost 2 years ago when I photographed my friend Katlyn and Brad’s wedding! As Katlyn’s cousin, naturally Megan was selected as her personal attendant. We bonded immediately! Megan was SO organized and detail oriented throughout the entire day, which made mine and Brandee’s job so much easier! After we were done working and I was able to enjoy myself in guest mode, we had a BLAST on the dance floor!! So much photographic proof that new friends can have tons of fun! Needless to say, when she contacted me to tell me she was going to get married, I was ecstatic! She met the “Matt” of her dreams (cheesy pun, I know), fell in love instantly and now they are planning the wedding of their dreams.
After some crummy weather popping up, we decided to reschedule Megan and Matt’s original engagement session from April to May, and I’m SO glad we did. We had incredible weather and the spring foliage was in full bloom! We decided to meet in Jester Park in Granger which is a new location for me. Within the first few minutes after arriving, I could see why it’s such a popular park! It’s massive and has so many uniques and beautiful locations. I think my favorite is the little fishing pond with a wooden walking decked wrapped around it. We spent the afternoon in an entire state of laughter and finished the session celebrating with a champagne toast. I couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon! These two are hopelessly in love and I can’t wait to celebrate them even more in September! Enjoy scrolling through my favorites of our stroll in Jester Park!
