{An All White Cake Smash Session}

Another milestone checked off the list as Brody turns the big ONE! So many new and exciting adventures lay ahead for for him as he starts to walk and eventually run to keep up with big sister Addy! It’s been such a blessing watching this sweet little family grow the last couple of years. Brody is the epitome of a calm and easy-going baby, nothing seems to bother him. As I was editing his images, I realized that picking a light blue color for him to wear couldn’t have been more perfect. Not only to bring out his bright blue eyes more, but, also the serene ambiance these images are providing and how it completely matches his personality.

We decided to keep Brody’s cake smash simple and all white, complete with a white balloon garland in the background. At first, Brody was a little hesitant with the cake, but after a few prods and encouragements from his mama, he finally dug in. His face lit up as he tasted the sweet frosting, then he realized exactly what he was suppose to do. I absolutely adore his little “prayer hands” image at the end of this post.

These kiddos are growing quickly and I swear, every passing year picks up more and more speed. My dad always comments on how fast the years fly by. As a kid, I never understood, but now as an adult with three growing kiddos of my own, his words couldn’t ring more true. Photography is my way of holding onto these fleeting moments. Being able to savor every precious memory, to look back and relive them is so important to this nostalgia-loving girl. But more importantly, to be able to gift these memories to your kiddos one day when they have forgotten or may not even remember is truly where my hearts sits.
