{A Fall Engagement Session in a Family Pasture}
I met Holly and Dakota at Holly’s grandma’s house for the first time at their engagement session. We had a last minute change in location for the session and I loved, LOVED the adjustment. Not only is Holly’s grandma’s property beautiful but there are so many sentimental memories for Holly in these pastures. I’m a nostalgia junkie, so locations like this get me so excited! Listening to a few of Holly’s stories showed how much she really loves the property. These two fit the landscape perfectly! Holly’s pup, Mavis, even made an appearance in some of the images. I adored how she circled around every pose I put them in.
Holly and Dakota met through mutual friends and, at the time, Holly was in a relationship. A couple months after that relationship ended, she decided to get Dakota a chance. Four and half years later he propose on a bridge at Smith Lake! Holly loves bridges so the entire proposal was perfect! These two are down to earth, easy to talk to, fun to be around and you can just tell that they are so excited to start their new life together! They trusted me every step of the way during their engagement session. I love it when couples let their guard down and allow me to get to know them more. Capturing more genuine expressions and creating more natural posing come easily when couples are fully relaxed with me. I can’t wait until next July when we can do this all over again!
