{A Summer Family Session in Algona}
When it comes to wardrobe for family portraits, the Bolligs understood the assignment!! I absolutely love the light, neutral colors Abby chose plus I just ADORE these Ivy City Co mommy and me dresses! When little Addy was a baby I photographed this family at their home and we loved it so much that we decided to do it again! This time we met at 8am because Abby’s neighbor has the most beautiful light that spills into their front yard in the morning. Thankfully they were so nice to let us use their yard. What I love most about photographing families is how they interact with each other. What may seem like chaos at the time because a toddler isn’t listening to what we ask but would just rather be held by mama are actually the sweetest moments captured on camera. These little moments I live for because I know, all too well, that soon your toddler will grow and will no longer need mama snuggles. The tough toddler days seem long but we always look back and wonder how they passed so quickly. And those days, we can never get back. So I let the “chaos” commence. Because hidden within the turmoil are the most beautiful moments waiting to be frozen in time.
I photographed Baby Brody’s newborn session a couple weeks before their family session. Check it out here!
