{A Sage Green and Grey Newborn Boy Session}
Baby Lewis graced his presence in the studio at almost 4 weeks old and is just a little angel! My favorite feature, his long beautiful eyelashes. Baby boys always have the best eyelashes! His mama, Allyson, brought in an adorable green swaddle blanket with his name, a family name, delicately embroidered on it. It’s just as precious as he is! I’m a little partial to his name because we almost gave Oren the first name Louis but when I saw “Oren,” I instantly fell in love. So we named him Oren Louis Behounek instead. Louis is a multi-generational family name just as Lewis is for the Mathisen family. 😊
Lewis was born into such a beautiful family legacy known as the 1868 Farmhouse located in Boone. If you haven’t heard of this farmhouse, it’s actually a wedding venue, and a GORGEOUS one at that! The brick farmhouse with a huge wrap around porch and unique architectural details was built in 1868 and has been owed by Allyson and her family since 2000. Before Covid shut downs, Allyson had been making plans to build a wedding venue on the property of her childhood home utilizing the home’s history and the family’s legacy. They built a large, farmhouse style reception hall complete with custom built farmhouse tables, a stunning bridal suite that is a bright and airy photographer’s dream, a grain bin bar and so much more! It was only fitting that the first wedding held at the venue was Allyson’s and her husband, Jordan, in the fall of 2020. Ever since then, they have been booked solid! And with good reason, the venue is stunning! Now Allyson has the pleasure of helping couples begin their lives together in the house she grew up in! What and amazing honor!! If you’re a bride, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the 1868 Farmhouse and reading about their beautiful family story! And after you’ve booked your wedding with them, I know a girl who can hook you up with some beautiful photography! 😉
I fell in love with the farmhouse and the family’s story instantly and had talked to Allyson periodically on Instagram, so I was thrilled when she wanted to book a baby plan with me! Lewis is going to be the best addition to the 1868 Farmhouse and I can’t wait to watch him grow in his first year of life! Enjoy all my favorites from his newborn session!
