{A Neutral, Farm and Hunting Themed Newborn Session}
Mr. Rhett was a DREAM baby at his newborn session! He slept the ENTIRE time and even flashed a few smiles. Plus his skin is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen on a baby before! I made sure to work in a few setups of mom and dad’s favorite things, hunting and cows/farm life. Morgan contacted me after Rhett turned two weeks old wondering if it was too late to schedule a newborn session. If you are familiar with the style of newborn photography I shoot, I prefer to photograph babies within the first two weeks after they are born. There are many reasons for this but mostly because this time frame is THE prime sleepy stage for babies. As baby starts to get older, he/she begins to be more awake and alert which greatly affects the sleepy newborn style I love to create. But this is not a hard rule that I always stick by!!! And in baby Rhett’s case, it meant nothing. At 3.5 weeks old, Rhett was one of the most sleepiest babies I have ever photographed!!! So mama, it’s not too late! But if I could recommend anything, it would be to contact your photographer EARLY if you know you would be interested in a newborn session. This will guarantee a spot on the calendar during that prime sleepy stage and create a bit more ease during the session knowing your baby is at it’s most sleepiest.
Morgan and I recently joined a team together in 100+ Women Who Care of Kossuth County and our first meeting together was so fun and rewarding! We raised over $12,000 for the Algona Senior Center and it’s incredible to see so many women coming together to make a great impact in our community! I’m thrilled to be a part of this group with Morgan! And I’m just as thrilled to photograph baby Rhett’s first year milestones! Enjoy scrolling through all my favorites from his newborn session!
