{A Urban Senior Session in Downtown Humboldt}
It’s not too often that I have a senior guy show up to his session wearing a suit! So you can imagine my shock when I first met Sam! I LOVE his style! It was important to Sam that his session was something different from the norm and I 👏 am 👏 here 👏 for 👏 it!! He was such a breath of fresh air for my creativity and I thrive in situations like that!
Right away, I noticed Sam was very outgoing and charismatic. He just recently moved to Humboldt from Colorado, during the pandemic, because his dad accepted the principal position at the high school. As we walked the streets of Humboldt during his session, several people honked and waved at him and I could tell it didn’t take long for him to settle into the new community. We chatted about the activities he’s involved in, especially his favorite, football. Just the day before his session he played in the UNI Dome for the state semifinals and sadly, the team didn’t win. But still, such a great experience during senior year!!
Sam plans to attend college to study criminal justice and possibly become a private investigator. He’s not fully committed to his plans yet but his mom says that Sam just “wants to make the world a better place.” ❤️ I, seriously, have some of the best seniors this year!! They are all soooooo caring and dedicated to making a difference. This year, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and get to know several young adults and seeing their dreams and the steps they are taking to accomplish them really warms my heart knowing there is so much hope for our future generations. I have no doubt that Sam will make a difference in our world and it will be monumental no matter the size or scale. I can’t wait for your future, Sam, you will do amazing things!
Enjoy all of my favorites from his session!
