{A Family Session in a Grassy Pasture}
The Bruhn’s came out to our place last week for their family session and it was the first time a family let me completely dress them! When I say “completely dress them,” I mean that I picked out their entire outfits, head to toe, for a cohesive and soft look. Perfect for summer pasture portraits! A HUGH weight was lifted off of Amanda’s shoulders when I told her I would do this for her! I sent her links to multiple outfit combos and she picked her favorite one! The whole crew looked stunning! It made family portrait time so much less stressful!
When you think of family portraits, most typically visualize their family sitting pose so perfectly and giving their best smile to the camera. But let’s be realistic here. That hardly EVER happens with littles. Their attention spans just don’t allow it. But if you think about what you do every day at home, it’s definitely not sitting posed and smiling flawlessly. What you’re doing instead is playing and loving on your littles. The sad part is that these fun and special moments are hardly ever captured. After having my own children, I realized that these moments are what really counts and documenting them shows a little bit more about who your family is. Those are the moments that should be hanging on our walls to remind us our love to one another! I made sure to give the Bruhn’s plenty of these memories to reminisce on this fun, crazy, chaotic, joyful but short season of life with small children. I hope you all enjoy my favorites as much as I do!
